I always felt like a part of the natural world from early childhood. Trees, streams, animals, the sun and moon, and clouds were singing in me. When I was two, my first artwork was a bird cut from a bed sheet. My first drawings were trees. So, over time, I explored the subject of landscape, immersing myself in it, both in the outside world and in the solitary in my studio. I would love to share the beauty and vitality of the natural world with my viewers to emphasize the interconnectedness and inspire the wish to preserve whatever is still left.
I paint with deep reverence for the natural world. My work is a continuation of long walks and quiet observation, a meditation on the living landscape. This reverence extends not only to the forms and rhythms of nature itself, but also to the very act of perception—the awareness that allows all this splendor to unfold before us.
I start with exploring the scene, unlocking the puzzle of colours, values and shapes. Then, I make decisions about composition and choose pigments. I block a canvas with 2-3 main colours and quickly form an underpainting. Then come palette knives and large brushes, and finally, I work on the details with a tiny x-long liner brush. I like to play with abstract elements and then add details. My goal is to keep the painting fresh and alive to immerse my viewer in the spirit of nature. My media is acrylic.
